Learning to learn

How do we actually learn? Our world has been increasingly headed towards knowledge work, ever since the past century. The need to learn right and well is also increasingly in demand. Unfortunately, this subject is so little discussed. Josh Waitzkin has led a full life as a chess master and international martial arts champion Also is the subject for the movie "Searching for Bobby Fischer". In his book  The Art Of Learning , Josh describes his personal journey to optimal performance. What is Self-Esteem? How do you have it? What do you do with it? Self Esteem is an achievement. You experience it. It is similar to a reputation you have with yourself. A generator of self-fulfilling prophecy. An immune system of consciousness. Self-Esteem is a need, required for effective functioning, Thus having a survival value. What is the difference between being efficient and being effective? Efficiency asks how to do things well. Effectiveness asks what is the right thing to do. It is possible to do the wrong things marvelously well, still, you waste precious time and build up frustration and despair. According to  Effective Executive  by Peter Drucker who researched and studied many famous effective managers and executives: Effectiveness is self-discipline. A complex of practices. A Habit.
